I can honestly say that reading Lundy Bancroft's 'Why Does He Do That? Inside The Minds of Angry and Controlling Men' made a huge difference to me. I never understood why my ex behaved the way he did and reading this book at the point of me leaving the relationship helped me put it all into perspective. All of a sudden it all made sense and I understood, no matter how hard I tried to make the relationship work, what I did would never be good enough. I'm going to say that it was the best book I have ever read to help me recover and move on.
