Domestic Abuse Awareness Training For Hairdressers

Funded by The East & Mid Devon Safety Partnership More Positive Me are delighted to bring you domestic abuse awareness training for hairdressers.

Domestic Abuse Ambassador Training for Hairdressers

Hair and beauty professionals are often trusted confidants, making them uniquely placed to spot the signs of domestic abuse and offer a supportive response. Our free Domestic Abuse Awareness Training for Hairdressers is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to recognise warning signs, respond appropriately, and know where to signpost clients for help.

Delivered as a flexible online e-course, the training can be completed at your own pace, in your own time. It’s practical, accessible, and tailored to the role of hairdressers and barbers, empowering you to make a real difference in the lives of those who may be experiencing abuse.

Take the course today and become part of a network of professionals helping to create safer communities.

Hairdressers in East & Mid Devon can apply for a poster for their staff room and signposting stickers for their customer toilets.

Not a Hairdresser?

This specific training has been created especially for hair and beauty professionals, so if your organisation is not in this sector, this course isn’t the right fit for you.

However, you can still play an important role in raising awareness and supporting those affected by domestic abuse. We offer J9 Initiative Training, which is open to all organisations and equips staff with the skills to recognise the signs of abuse, respond sensitively, and provide safe signposting to specialist support.

By taking part in J9 training, your organisation can become part of a wider community committed to breaking the silence around domestic abuse and offering safe spaces for those in need. You can learn more about the training here
