Practising Compassion #selfcaresaturday

Its time to give yourself a break. Practice self compassion, I know, it will be difficult for most, but when you stop giving yourself such a hard time for not being ‘good enough’ you begin to heal. I’ve spoken to many a person who just doesn’t feel that they are worthy of happiness, that they must have done something wrong, now, or in a former life. Everyone is worthy of happiness, everyone has a right to be treated with respect, love and kindness, but if you can’t do this for yourself, you can’t expect others to do it for you either. Quite often we will still here an abusers dialogue long after you have left an abusive situation, this joins forces with your inner critic and brings you down. Recognising this is that first step.People who have been a target of abuse are so much nicer to others than they are to themselves, so next time you hear your inner critic having a moan at you, silence them with compassion for the journey you have been, or are still through. You are a warrior, you are awesome, its time to start believing that. Surround yourself with the people who lift you up, and not tear you down.

We have Changing Patterns 4 week courses starting in Okehampton & Newton Abbott that can help you turn your life around, and follow on monthly courses that will lift and inspire you, and embed your learning from any pattern changing, cast or recovery tool kit courses you have attended in the past.
